Last Updated: August 8, 2026

Welcome to Alejo Private Chef & Catering. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website and the purchase or use of our private chef, catering, meal preparation, and related services.

By accessing our website or requesting our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use our website or services.

1. About Our Services

Alejo Private Chef & Catering provides private chef and catering services throughout Long Island and New York City, New York.

Our services may include, depending on the specific arrangement:

  • Private chef services

  • Catering for private events

  • Special events and celebrations

  • Custom menus

  • Meal preparation

  • Corporate and social events

  • Other food-related services agreed upon with the client

Specific services, menus, pricing, dates, locations, guest counts, and other details may vary depending on the individual event or service agreement.

2. Service Inquiries and Requests

Submitting an inquiry through our website, by phone, email, or another communication method does not automatically constitute a confirmed booking.

A booking is considered confirmed only after the required details have been agreed upon and any applicable deposit or payment has been received.

We reserve the right to decline a service request when we are unable to accommodate the requested date, location, guest count, menu, or other requirements.

3. Event Information

Clients are responsible for providing accurate and complete information regarding their event.

This may include:

  • Event date

  • Event location

  • Arrival and service times

  • Number of guests

  • Menu preferences

  • Dietary restrictions

  • Food allergies

  • Kitchen or venue requirements

  • Parking or access information

  • Any other information reasonably necessary to provide the service

Changes to event information should be communicated as soon as possible.

Additional charges may apply when changes substantially affect the scope, staffing, menu, ingredients, travel, equipment, or preparation required for the event.

4. Pricing and Payments

Prices for our services may vary depending on factors including:

  • Type of service

  • Number of guests

  • Menu selection

  • Event duration

  • Event location

  • Staffing requirements

  • Ingredients

  • Equipment

  • Travel requirements

  • Additional services requested

Any applicable deposit, balance, payment schedule, or cancellation fee will be communicated to the client before the service is confirmed.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all amounts owed must be paid according to the payment terms provided for the specific service or event.

5. Deposits and Reservations

Certain services may require a deposit or advance payment to reserve a date.

When a deposit is required, the reservation of the requested date is subject to receipt of that payment and confirmation from Alejo Private Chef & Catering.

A deposit may be non-refundable depending on the specific booking and cancellation terms communicated to the client.

6. Cancellation and Rescheduling

Cancellation and rescheduling policies may vary depending on the type of service and the timing of the request.

If you need to cancel or reschedule an event, please contact us as soon as possible.

Depending on the circumstances, cancellation or rescheduling may result in:

  • Loss of an applicable deposit

  • Cancellation fees

  • Additional costs associated with rescheduling

  • Charges for ingredients or services already purchased or prepared

Any specific cancellation terms agreed upon for an individual event will take precedence over general information contained in these Terms & Conditions.

7. Menu Changes and Availability

Menus may be customized based on the client’s preferences and the services agreed upon.

Ingredient availability may change due to seasonality, supplier availability, market conditions, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

We reserve the right to make reasonable substitutions when necessary while maintaining the intended quality and character of the agreed menu.

Significant menu changes requested by the client after confirmation may result in additional charges.

8. Food Allergies and Dietary Restrictions

Clients must inform us of any known food allergies, intolerances, dietary restrictions, or special dietary requirements before the event or service.

Although we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate disclosed dietary requirements, our food may be prepared in environments where allergens are present.

Because of the possibility of cross-contact, we cannot guarantee that food will be completely free from a particular allergen unless a specific arrangement has been expressly agreed upon in advance.

Clients and guests are responsible for communicating any allergies or dietary concerns before consuming food.

9. Client Responsibilities

The client is responsible for ensuring that the event location is reasonably suitable for the services requested.

Depending on the service, the client may be responsible for providing:

  • Reasonable access to the event location

  • Adequate kitchen or preparation space when required

  • Necessary utilities

  • Parking or loading access when applicable

  • Safe working conditions

  • Accurate information about the venue

We may decline or modify services if unsafe or unsuitable conditions prevent us from reasonably performing the agreed service.

10. Venue Access and Safety

Our staff and service providers must be provided with reasonable access to the event location.

We reserve the right to stop or modify services if conditions at the location create a serious safety concern or prevent the service from being performed appropriately.

We are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances at the venue that are outside our reasonable control.

11. Third-Party Vendors and Venues

Some events may involve third-party venues, rental companies, event planners, delivery services, or other vendors.

Alejo Private Chef & Catering is not responsible for the actions, omissions, delays, policies, or failures of independent third-party providers.

Clients are responsible for understanding the rules and requirements imposed by the event venue or other third-party providers.
